Kazantsev Sergey Sergeevich
Sculptor, National artist of Russia, Сorresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Member of the Moscow and Moscow region Union of Artists.
Sergey Kazantsev was born on May 23, 1946 in Alexandrov Town (Russia). He studied at the Art college in Abramtsevo Town (Russia). Graduated from the Moscow State Art Institute named by I.V. Surikov (Russia). He was awarded the Silver Medal of the Academy of Arts of the USSR. In 1993, he was awarded the title of "Honored Artist of the Russian Federation".
In December 2017 Russian president Vladimir Putin signed a decree on awarding Sergei Kazantsev honorary title “National artist of Russia Federation”
In 2015, he became a laureate of the Moscow Region Governor's Prize "Our Moscow Region" for his invaluable contribution to the development of the region.
In 2019, Sergey Kazantsev received the title of corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts.
Works
Sculptor Sergey Kazantsev has accumulated a unique experience in creating sculptures of any complexity and subject. He executed orders for large Russian companies, such as Rosneft, Gazprom, Incom Real Estate, and worked on projects for State Museums, Galleries and individual customers.
