Description
The work was performed for the museum-reserve A.N. Ostrovsky "Shchelykovo" in the Kostroma region. On the territory of the museum-reserve there is a radon source, which looks like a hole with blue gurgling water. According to the legend, the Snow Maiden melted at this place. The museum bought the work in gypsum from the sculptor S. Kazantsev, she stood in the museum exposition, and then she was removed to the storerooms. The museum had plans to put marble or bronze «Snow Maiden» near the source, but the matter did not come to realization due to the change of director.
